Acne Treatment in India

In medical terms, Acne is known as Acne Vulgaris, which is a skin disease that involves the oil glands at the base of hair follicles. There's a reason it's called "common acne" as everyone nearly suffers from a pimple outbreak at some point in life. Pimples grow when these follicles get blocked, resulting in an accumulation of oil under the skin. Acne starts when greasy secretions from the skin's sebaceous (oil) glands come to life during puberty. The glands are stimulated by male hormones produced by the adrenal glands of both males and females. Acne is not dangerous, but can leave skin scars.

Although acne remains largely a curse of adolescence, about 20% of all cases occur in adults. Acne commonly starts during puberty between the ages of 10 and 13 and tends to be worse in people with oily skin. Teenage acne usually lasts for five to 10 years, normally going away during the early 20s. It occurs in both sexes, although teenage boys tend to have the most severe cases. Women are more likely than men to have mild to moderate forms into their 30s and beyond.
What Causes Acne? How common is it?
The cause of acne is quite unclear. Though stress can be one of the reason for acne, it clearly does not cause it. Common sites of acne are the face, chest, shoulders and back which are the sites of oil glands.
Dermatologists says that approximately three-quarters of 11 to 30 year-olds will get acne at some time. Hormones are the common cause for acne in teenagers starts with an increase in hormone production.

Anti Aging Treatments in India

Anti aging treatment in India has become the new phraseology and because of this reason it is becoming extremely popular as this new medical technologies show real results. Though aging boomers who make up a large percent of the population want to look younger but are evading the older technologies of plastic surgery in favor of newer, non-invasive techniques which honestly give more natural results.

Reasons for Skin Aging
As we get older, it is our skin that reflects the most visible changes. Our skin tension and elasticity steadily decrease. Our skin and the subcutaneous adipose tissue get thinner. Furthermore the water and fat content of our skin continuously decrease. As a result wrinkles appear and the skin ages. The main reason for skin aging is the slowdown of cell regeneration. These changes are brought about by internal as well as external causes. The causes like:

  •  Textural Changes - Aging causes us to lose collagen which leads to the loss of elasticity of the skin making it thin. It also becomes less capable of holding moisture thereby becoming dry. These changes leads to the     appearance of important facial creases and large holes.
  • Changes due to volume Loss - The subcutaneous fat or the fat layer immediately below the skin is significantly reduced leading to the skin sagging or hanging down in folds. There is hollowing around the eyes and the cheeks look flatter. Neck folds become severe and hands take on a bony look
  • Changes due to Pigmentation – Due to the increase in the     size of some of the melanocytes, the amount of pigment becomes more visible from underneath the thinning skin and gradually shows up as age spots and sun spots.

Soprano ICE - Hair Removal Lasers Have a New Bar to Reach

Finally – a hair removal laser that makes treatment more comfortable for the patients and the provider. Of course, we’re talking about the Soprano®ICE, the latest rendition of our Soprano Family. We’re excited about this laser for a number of reasons. We’ll share more about ICE and its competitive advantages in a bit. For now, let’s take a trip down memory lane…

We like to think of the early stages of laser hair removal as the no-pain, no-gain era. Some providers turned up the radio volume to cover the patient’s yelps and cries for mercy. It was not a glorious time and many patients did not return to complete their treatment.

In 2007, Alma released its Soprano system and, shortly thereafter, introduced the marketplace to Super Hair Removal, SHR™. The industry raised quite a bit of noise about the 10 Hz per second and the concept of gradually heating the targeted area. However, hair removal professionals experienced the technology and gave it high marks. Our branded treatment, Pain-Free, Hair-Free™ quickly gained momentum and in our opinion raised the bar for all hair removal lasers. We were flattered by subsequent devices (that we won’t mention here) which mimicked the soothing heating mechanisms and cooling.

Late in 2010, Alma improved the Soprano XL with its Soprano XLi. One professional nicknamed the device, “…Tall, dark and handsome.” Again, the Soprano XLi quickly rose to the top of the hair removal matrix and professionals across the globe embraced the technology. Now, we’re proud and excited to tell you about Soprano ICE.

The Soprano ICE features improved cooling for patient comfort, fast SHR and IN-Motion™ technology plus a lighter handpiece for the operator.

Like we said above – this is the laser that strives to make laser hair removal more comfortable for the patient and the provider.

It’s our pleasure, therefore, to help you achieve the following with ICE:
  • Reduce operator fatigue and ensure the last treatment of the day has the same coverage as the first.
  • Complete more treatments in the same amount of time thanks to SHR.
  • Stop wasting operating-time applying pre-treatment analgesics and spend more time adding to your bottom line.
  • Go virtually painless. Give laser hair removal patients an experience they’ll tell their friends and family about.
  • Provide laser hair removal to all. The ICE is ready for all skin types (Fitz I – VI) and even tanned skin.
  • Create additional revenue streams from the same amazing device.

Skin Rejuvenation through Alma Lasers

FRACTIONAL REJUVENATION OF SKIN WITH PIXEL ERBIUM AND CO2 LASERS

INTRODUCTION

Fractional Pixel lasers involve major advances in the treatment of facial aging “à la carte”. Thanks to their versatility we will be able to treat each stage of facial aging with ablative systems reducing to a minimum the patient’s recovery time.

OVERVIEW AND TYPES

Fractional Pixel lasers main feature is that they hold many spots per shot on the same area of treatment, hence, there is no uniform ablation of the skin on all of the surface that receives the shots, since it is not treated in full by the laser, just a certain percentage of the skin, that can be greater or smaller depending on the number of spots per area of treatment. This part is approximately 20% of the area of the tissue treated in every shot with Píxel. Therefore, in every laser shot we will treat a certain percentage of the area of the skin, leaving, between every spot, unharmed zones, and these uninjured zones help the skin heal quickly. Fractional Pixel lasers “drill” the skin leaving some areas unharmed, areas which will in turn produce a fast recovery of the skin. (Fig.21-1), (Fig.21-2)

Fractional Píxel lasers will act on the water chromophore, whose absorption rate varies in accordance with the wavelength used. As regards the different wavelengths available, at present we have:
  • The Fractional Erbium-Yag (Pixel 2940 nm). Laser
  • The Fractional (Pixel CO2 - 10,600 nm). Laser
